Dancing for many hours have taught me to bring trustable shoes!
If you have already read Rave Nutrition you will know of a section dedicated to thoughts around the topic.
Today I'll give you my personal recommendation:
Vibram Five Fingers
I am very much in touch with my balance point and I've found the perfect shoes to support that.
I know some of my friends prefer the Nike Free or other kinds of light weight sneaks.
I don’t own these types of main stream shoes, because my feet and ankles fall to the inside leaving too much pressure on my knees and hips.
Da da da daaaaaaaaaa: Vibram Five Fingers
Honestly I feel like I’m dancing bare feet when I'm wearing these! The sole is thick enough to protect me from glass and stones, and the shoe is soooo comfortable. I feel like a gymnast or a tribal dancer or..
really just myself in these!
Back in the days Vibram Five Fingers would come in all kinds of crazy color totally high lighting that you were wearing something unconventional. Now a days people need to look closely before they find something is different there.
They work for me.
I've never been rejected to any club wearing these. I've gotten some: "whoooa WHAT aaare you wearing" from other ravers, but always meant in a positive way I'm sure.
I most often wear black shoes when i go dancing. You never know what’s on the dance floor. Outside raves can have sand or dust coming in. But don’t think your new shoes are safe just because you’re inside: Confetti can also make a huge mess out of a light color shoe.
And black goes with everything, no?
The only minus, and there is one, is that they don’t protect you from other people’s weight in case someone steps on your toes. OUCH. So these requires a willingness to pay attention and run for your life in case somebody drunk and heavy comes your way. Is that why people wear Dr. Martin's anyway?
I recently got a pair sponsored by the site www.alun.dk/shop
So thrilled, because this is a brand I have loved for years and the shoes I got is in-cre-di-ble.
The site offers super quick shipping and very favorable prices. Right now they have a super sale going on.
When it comes to
using your body I suggest you do whatever TF you want.
Just make sure you do something - and that you use your body in an ergonomically correct way.
Personally I really love moving medium heavy objects from one place to another.
A few of my people have caught the virus.
(Lord, I feel like we are in a "the one who must not be named - situation here)
Everybody at my end is safe and sound through a few days with fever and coughing.
Depending on symptoms and body/mind disposition I pick a few remedies from the list below when doing the flu-fighting.
Here are my suggestions on how to ensure a speedy recovery if you are coughing and sneezing:
Please note that all bodies differ.
Luckily you can read all about how to optimize your overall health and stealth in Rave Nutrition - The Book
Your immune system functions best when your vitamin/mineral balance is top and your overall system is healthy.
ARSENAL OF SPECIAL WEAPONS FOR FLU--FIGHTING:
1. Icelandic Moss
Icelandic moss isn’t moss at all. It’s a type of lichen — fungi and algae combined — used in European folk medicine as a natural health remedy for colds, coughs, and other health issues.
Everybody with a cough: drink this throughout your day as tea (with honey for the taste!) add fresh ginger (unless you suffer in the heat - ginger is very heating).
A special variety of yeast cultivated on super powerful immune enhancing herbs.
Sounds disgusting, right? Well, all I can say is that it works. A study even showed that this product worked better than the flu-shot Propylaxis link
My mom (luckily) gave this formula to me as a kid.
These days I prefer it in tablets.
4. Vitamin C and D
A minimum dosis of 1 gram of vitamin C twice a day is my usual advise.
And loads of sun or vitamin D in a bio available supplement in winter time.
5. Tannen Blut
A product with a shit load of helpfull herbs to relieve throat soreness caused by coughing. Love this product.
6. Euphorbium Compositum
If your nasal muqueuses are having a hard time e.g. you are sneezing and your sense of scent is gone or off I recommend this nasal spray.
It's a gentle product - it dosen't contain chemicals that shrink congested blood vessels like you might have experienced other nasal sprays do.
When a conventional doctor subscribes antibiotics to my symptoms my first stop is urte-pensil.
This remedy has cured me and my loved ones over and over again. And you won't become immune to it. You might smell a little bit like curry though.
I hope this list finds you well and strong.
Nothing compares to real food and good habits, exercise, kisses, sun gazing and sleep. You already know.
Also: I don't have to tell you to go seek medical assistance if you have trouble breathing, right?
I've decided to throw in a super charged crystal and a lil flower on the books ordered at this time.
All you have to do is write me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
stating your name and shipping address.
Do you know what it is?
Truly? Have you done your research?
The first time I was introduced to Palo Santo was when a Balinese Goddess brought it to a private gathering.
I was completely taken over by the wonderful odor of that burning tree.
We were raving, dancing for hours and hours, and the Palosanto was sooo good and refreshing.
I did not include Palosanto in Rave Nutrition.
Instead I suggest burning incense or charcoal to eliminate unpleaseant odor.
If dealing with Palosanto please check that you are respecting the medicine of the tree and know that you are dealing with something that is considered sacred in the cultures of its origin.

But without the THC, haaay.
I won't lie to you I'm a fan of marijuana.
And on the top of my list is CBD cannabis.
I've used it as oil and it's all good.
But you know what. Sometimes I miss smoking like heavy ass hash.
It's not the head thing. It's the body thing.
And now I've found a product purrfect for my mind and my body.
It's legal, has less than 0.2 pct THC, so you won't get high, but it is taking the FUUUUCK THIS SHIT out of my moon blood periods, and it gives a soft, calm, relaxed feeling through out my body.
Get it here:
Here's an article from Harvard dealing with health benefits of CBD:
(yes, I got this sponsored!! www.cbdanmark.dk ❤️)
In order to understand my hate on anti-perspirants you need to look at the word anti-perspirant.
Your body perspires for a reason.
Under your arms you have a part of the lymphatic system.
The lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs that help rid the body of toxins, waste and other unwanted materials. It does so by perspiring.
So the moment you use anti-perspirant you hinder your body in getting rid of potentially harmful waste.
What happens with this waste? It stays in your body.
What does your body do with toxins? It tries to let them escape through other parts of the lymphatic system such as your appendix, or thymus or tonsils. Oh wait! You already had those removed?
How do you think this affects your lymphatic system? I mean you had the glands removed but not the waste right, will you then have more or less waste in your body? How will your body feel and function with toxins in it?
Besides removing toxins sweat (perspiring) has another function - it cools the body.
By this point I hope that you have found a new appreciation for your lymphatic system and ability to sweat.
But we still don't want to smell, do we?
Have you noticed how your body odor changes with your diet? For some women it also changes with their menstruation cycle.
Now I don't want to get into a whole Ph.D sized text about why humans smell.
I just want to direct your attention to the fact that when you stop using anti-perspirant you may need to go through a period where you smell more, because your body finally can release the toxins and waste preciously prevented by the anti-perspirant.
Secondly it should now be clear that the less toxins you take in the less your body needs to get rid of.
You can support your lymphatic system by eating a healthy diet, have good hydration and get plenty of exercise.
I recommend trying out a crystal deodorant.
They are not anti-perspirant so you will need to dress accordingly.
Crystal deodorants dosen't have aluminimum or tricolosan or other toxins as regular anti-perspirants tend to have.
What is smelling under your arms are bacterias.
I have found crystal deodorants to eliminate the smell while being very gentle on my skin.
In Rave Nutrition - The Book you will find a few tips on how to deal with other people's odor.
After all we can't force anyone to accept us modifying what they do (or don't do) with their bodies.
But we can create a loving and odor free environment.
